    Urban and Regional Development

    Examines economic forces influencing settlement patterns, growth and other characteristics of towns, cities and regions. Provides a theoretical and historical basis for analyzing and predicting how urban areas evolve and how public policies may affect patterns of growth and change. Topics include: regional economics; economic development; growth policy; urban land use patterns; how land and housing markets function; how land use regulation affects these markets; urban environmental problems; urban transportation; and emerging spatial patterns.
